DueStack is a Chrome extension that helps you track Buy Now, Pay Later installment plans (Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm, PayPal Pay in 4, Zip, Sezzle, and others) and reminds you before each payment is due. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your data.
DueStack does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data with anyone, including us. Everything you enter stays on your own device.
When you add a payment plan, DueStack saves the details you provide — provider name, an optional store/merchant label, payment amount, number of payments, frequency, and due dates — using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data is stored locally in your browser profile, on your own device. It is never sent to DueStack's developer, to any analytics service, or to any third party. DueStack has no backend server of any kind, and the extension makes no network requests at all.
If you select text on a webpage and choose "Add to DueStack" from the right-click menu, the extension reads only the text you highlighted (via Chrome's contextMenus API) to try to pre-fill a payment amount and count. That text is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
DueStack uses Chrome's alarms and notifications APIs to show you a local reminder before a payment is due, based on the lead time you choose in Settings. These reminders are generated and shown entirely on your device.
DueStack does not request host_permissions for any website. It cannot read the content of the pages you visit except for the specific text you deliberately select and choose to add via the right-click menu.
DueStack contains no eval(), no dynamically or remotely loaded scripts, and no third-party SDKs. Every line of code that runs is included in the reviewed extension package submitted to the Chrome Web Store.
You can delete an individual plan at any time from the Settings page, or remove everything at once with the "Clear all DueStack data" button. Uninstalling the extension also removes all locally stored data, per Chrome's standard behavior.
DueStack is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
